Students of Pasni staged protest in front of Pasni Press Club against online classes in view of coronavirus. A large number of students from different educational institutions in different cities of the country participated in the protest.

Due to the lack of internet facilities in Balochistan, online classes is tantamount to harming the academic year of the students who have returned to their home cities due to the closure of educational institutes across the country.

There is no denying the fact that the whole world is affected by the coronavirus. But in the case of Balochistan, online classes are by no means the solution due to the fact that most of the cities in Balochistan are deprived of internet.

Due to pandemic, most of the people are unemployed or living hand to mouth. In this scenario, the fees of their children and other expenses have added more difficulties to them.

Students demanded that HEC should provide internet facility in backward areas before launching online classes or open universities like other institutions under SOPs. If it is not possible to do so, then adopt the same policy with students all over Pakistan and postpone classes and semesters. Otherwise promote students in the next semester according to the previous result.
