The Balochistan government has directed provincial health department to test only those people who show symptoms of COVID-19 due to lack of testing capacity.

According to the details, the decision was taken in a meeting headed by Chief Minister Jam Kamal on situation of Coronavirus in the province and availability of safety equipment.

So far, Balochistan has 2820 confirmed Coronavirus cases with 128 new cases in last 24 hours and 2 deaths taking the death toll to 38 in the province.

There is no reported Coronavirus case in 12 districts of Balochistan including Turbat and Gwadar. However, the authorities fear that these areas may witness the virus infection after virus-testing facilities are extended to these districts.

The World Health Organization has said earlier that the only way to deal with the pandemic is to have more testing. More countries are moving to random sampling to limit the spread.

The Balochistan government has also decided to not resume public transport in the province and asked people not to travel in trains to halt the rapid transmission of coronavirus in the province.
