The rapid increase in vehicles carrying Iranian oil, accidents have been routine on N-85 road. The road was initially called M-8. Recently a young boy named Waqas from Shapuk Turbat lost his life due to the vehicles carrying Iranian oil. Besides this incident few months ago on the same spot two persons were burnt alive after the vehicle got an accident and later caught fire.

Within the short period of time ten to fifteen accidents have occurred on same road.

Local residents have been demanding for the deployment of motorway police officers.

Talking to PakVoices Kamal Baloch who lives nearby the road said there is no traffic control for the vehicles carrying Iranian oil and accidents are occurring due to these vehicles.

Mehran Raheem resident of Shapuk Kech said due to no traffic control I lost one of a very important members very recently in accident.

Talking to PakVoices, Assistant Commissioner Turbat Kabeer Ahmad Zarkoon said there is no need for motorway police because levies and security forces are doing this job.

N-85 road is one of the busiest roads of Makran division and there is no system for traffic control which is in dire need.
