PESHAWAR: In order to discover young talented cricketers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has launched the ‘Talent Hunt Programme’ in Peshawar.

Trails for the ‘Talent Hunt Programme’ were held at Gymkhana Ground in Peshawar. Hundreds of young players from across the province and Fata have participated in the trails. Names of the successful players would be announced tomorrow (Monday).
PTI sources said that the ‘Talent Hunt Programme’ is part of the programme that was announced by Imran Khan a month ago. Further training would be imparted to the successful players under the programme to prepare them for playing at national and international level.

The trails were announced be started at 9:00 AM, however, PTI Spokesman Naeemul Haque arrived at 2:00 PM. The delay forced several players to go back without giving trails. Younis Khan and Umar Gul also failed to witness the trails despite announcement that the star cricketers would witness the trails.
