Noor Mahal is said to be built in 1872 by the Nawab of Bahawalpur.

The story goes that the Nawab of Bahawalpur got this palace constructed for his wife. Though she lived there only for a night but the building continues to attract tourists for its fabulous architecture.

The palace often hosts state guests and foreign dignitaries as it has 32 rooms, 6 verandas and 5 dooms.

The exquisite palace looks stunning when illuminated at the night time. Still, the palace is a hidden masterpiece of architecture due to lack of publicity.

Noor Mahal has been declared a “protected monument” by the Archeology department.


Though the palace is in the possession of army but visitors are allowed in for a tour.
