Patan Minara is located 8 kilometers from Rahim Yar Khan city in the Southern Punjab of Pakistan. It’s believed to have been built during Hakara Valley civilization in Mauryan period. But some archaeologists contest this claiming that the structure was built by Alexander the Great during his military expedition to India. According to them, Alexander established the cantonment and a tower to watch the movement of the tribes and the enemy.

There is also a great deal of mystery surrounding the Patan Minara as it’s believed that there was once a treasure hidden in the building.
