A major cleaning drive was held at Astola Beach in Pasni in the first week of December. The clean up drive was organized by the District Administration of Gwadar.

The residents of nearby locations thrifted to the beach to take part in the clean up drive with full zeal. They were seen picking up the garbage left on the beach by the visitors.
Astola is one of the most beautiful islands in Pasni. It is a popular spot for fishing as well. Fishing boats known as launches are present on the island. Another tourist attraction in Astola island is the presence of multicolored fish and green turtles . Due to the presence of rocky mountains around, it is also known as the “Island of Seven Hills”.
While there are many beautiful gems present in Pakistan, it is unfortunate to see trash and litter left by tourists there. Therefore such initiatives like clean up drive bring forth a refreshing change where citizens partake keeping in view their social and moral responsibility.
